At the A.G.M. rally, I wore these pink wellies as it was a bit wet
underfoot and I got a few comments about them,
and I was asked to put a photo and the story behind them in the
magazine and on the web.
They were bought for a fashion show with a difference, we all had
to design our own costumes and the more
zany and funny the better. The show was put on by staff and
patients at the hospital where I work who were
game for a laugh and to raise money for Breast Cancer Awareness
Day. As we all knew someone or themselves
had been affected by this illness we always go all out to raise as
much money as possible and enjoy doing it too.
My french maids costume and the apron were made out of lots of
pink J- cloths, I wore pink fish net tights, a shower
cap and pink rubber gloves the pink wellies and I carried a pink
feather duster to tickle the men in the audience
with, and to finish it off big plastic boobs.

We also picked the music that played when we walked on the
catwalk,
my choice was " Do you think I'm sexy" by Rod Stewart.
My husband, daughter and grandson were in the audience
for the show. My grandson, when he saw me said in a very loud
voice, " Grandma's got boobies."
We also had a bride and groom, the bride wore a wedding dress made
from white plastic carrier bags complete with
headress and long train, the groom's suit was made from black bin
bags.
We are organizing our next pink charity day which is going to be a
pink evening ball and we have to design our ball
gowns all made from recyclable materials. Should be fun.
