We seem to have been lucky with the weather this year, as again the Sun was beating down on us as we arrived a day early to the rally at the Camping and Caravanning Club site on the racecourse at Hereford. John and Caroline Morley were the Stewards for this event and they were there to greet us when we arrived. There were about half a dozen units there that day and we generally socialised for the rest of the day. As some may remember John and I had disappeared fishing on the Friday evening at Maybole, but this time we went one better. John had arranged a days fishing at Kingfisher fisheries on the Friday, so off we went and left Caroline and Jen to see to the Stewarding. Boy did we get abuse for that but we were forgiven when we shared round the proceeds of our successful trip.

On the Saturday was the local Kite festival, which was only 10mins walk from the site. It was a spectacle of flying contraptions of all sizes and colours and though it's not something that  usually interests me time didn't half fly!!! while we were there. Not to be out done we had our own kite flying contest in the evening. typically any wind there was in the afternoon had all but disappeared by then and ironically the cheapest kites definitely  flew the best.

All too soon it was Sunday with the Flag meet and the raffle giving us the chance to bid our friends farewell before the journey home. Still won't be long until the Sacrewell rally .
