The rally at Nacton was a pleasant end-of-season rally (yes, there is another one but too late on for many people) in mostly dry weather , although anyone packing up late may have got very wet. The site was good but, for those arriving later, our area may have been a little too close for comfort to the main A-14 dual carriageway.
Nina and Peter Norrington found us a very cosy village hall for the two evenings. Their whole family worked very hard to meet and greet us, and to keep the social evening racing along. Thank you all very much. Although between the docklands of Ipswich and Felixstowe, the Nacton area has some beautiful scenery along the river Orwell and some interesting buildings, such as Orwell Park, a former playground of royalty but now a school. It is a good centre for the seaside and attractions in the southern part of Suffolk. Worth going back to.
