When we approached the entrance to the site off the main road I expected to see the bottle banks that would confirm that this was indeed the entrance. It was only when I had committed the turn and followed the lane to the left that i saw them. The lane was single track and although there were passing places it was sod's law that we met Brian and Bubble coming off the Rally field at a point that required Brian to reverse and allow us through. What a nice venue for a Rally, although on closer inspection it was a little un nerving to see the traffic on the road some 40 foot up on the other side of the river. As the week end approached Dandy's arrived and pitched where elected by the now experienced stewards known to all as Alan and Sue and Stephen and Claire with louise. Chris and I were shown the points of interest by Stephen and family during the weekend for which I thank them as I was a little off colour at this point. But I am glad I had attended the Rally, it was just the tonic I needed. Tony had even assembled a dart board on which he and Maxine, Ron and Kath and even Chris had a go, I was well off form not having played much in the 30 odd years since I Captained the second team at the Fox in Gas street Rugby. The Weather was as one could expect at a dandy Rally and I am sure a good time was had by all.

Roll on Scratby.
