Keith and I arrived in Cornwall at Carlyon Bay on Sunday afternoon.  It was lovely Dandy weather, no that does not mean it was liquid sunshine.  Chris and Pete met us on arrival with a very welcome cuppa and after that we nipped off and quickly set up the Dandy.  There were I think about 28 Dandies on the site, quite a few were unfamiliar faces to me but everyone seemed to be having fun.  There was the usual Boules tournament.  I was out in the first round because the field is not even of course and a draughts tournament in which Keith was knocked out in the first round too.  Perhaps the board wasn't straight.  Carlyon Bay is great for visiting Cornwall and we went to The Eden Project, Poldark Mine, Newquay and Charlestown.  We didn't do the organised walk but those who did enjoyed it.

Flag meet was held on the Saturday night (Cornish Pasties provided) to enable those who needed to get away on Sunday to start early.  Chris and Pete were presented with a Waterford Crystal bowl and a couple of other presents as a token of their hard work with this rally and all the others they have organised.  The weather was very very good, hot and sunny but it did chuck it down on Sunday morning to wash the Dandy ready for its homeward trip.  Loved Cornwall, please, please would someone organise another one maybe Newquay or Lands End  I would volunteer but it is a bit far from 'ampshire to steward.
