We arrived at Belper early on a warm, sunny Tuesday morning, having decided to make a week of it. Yet even though we were early , the Stewards, Brenda and Jim Reynolds were already there with a welcoming cuppa. We had a get together on the Friday evening where Brenda once again made tea and coffee for everyone. They had also organized a brilliant quiz, it ended up in a tie break between us and the Saundersons which we eventually won. On the Sunday we had usual flag meet with lots of raffle prizes. It was a brilliant weekend all round .Many thanks to Jim and Brenda for all their hard work, they surpassed themselves.

Lovely site surrounded by trees on two sides, set on the hillside above the Derwent Valley. The site still being developed, facilities are adequate if you go prepared for a basic facilities site.

Lots to see in the surrounding area. We arrived on the Wednesday and were able to visit Chatsworth House and Gardens (twice), Belper, Matlock and have an excellent Sunday Lunch at Carsington Water Visitor Centre. Some members also managed to get to Crich Tramway Museum, go shopping in Derby, whilst at least one member got a days fishing (no names).
A great weekend thanks to Brenda and Jim Reynolds, who both found the site and agreed to be the Stewards for the weekend.

A site I would certainly visit again.
