After being woken by the sound of my mobile phone heralding a received message,
at about 06.40 am on a Friday morning,
telling me that Chris my wife had arrived at work,
some 10 miles away to be welcomed by it Snowing.
I decided to Ring Ray,
The appointed Marshall for the Montford Bridge Rally,
at a more reasonable time and get a Local forecast of the expected weather for the weekend.

So around 09.15 I rang and was told that there were clear blue skies and a favourable forecast.
Just as well as I had spent the previous evening extracting The Destiny from the garage and checking it over for the outbound journey.
Having survived approx -4 at a Rally in Southport many years ago,
I was not going to be swayed now I had gone to all this trouble.

All was ready for Chris arriving home, and with the unit now on the road and ready, as soon as one had showered and changed we would be off.

A Cheerful welcome some 1.25 hours later from Ray & Gerry and we were shown to our pitch and set about opening out the unit for occupation.
In what seemed no time at all we were installed.
The Saturday evening Quiz was thought provoking to say the least, a slight break with Tradition and the Raffle was also drawn that evening. Allowing those who had to leave early to do so unencumbered.

My Wife the Regalia Officer had taken some Offerings to show what would commemorate the Celebration of the first 10 years of the Clubs being.
The site was very peaceful both during the day and night with the occasional sounds of foxes screeching in the distance.

Well that was the first and thank you to all that attended for making it so enjoyable.
For those I did not have time to speak to, well done for evading my attempts at humour.
Maybe you will not be so lucky at future rallies.
