Hardwick Park, Witney 1999

A memorable rally, memorable for excellent weather, the first rally that Gerry and I stewarded, a lot of units and the RV’s, all thirteen of them taking up a field of about the same size as ours, on which we managed to get 32 units. I think their “20 foot rule” must be a “50 foot rule”. My how the other half live!

Lots of places to visit Oxford, The River Thames, Burford, Bourton on the Water, Cotswold Wildlife Park.

On the Saturday evening we all helped Michael Taylor, Janet Goodwin, Norman Oversby and Caroline Morley celebrate their birthdays.

We found stewarding very hard work but throughly enjoyable, one of the best ways for meeting new people and making new friends. Gerry said she had never made so much tea and coffee before and I must have walked at least 4/5 miles up and down the rows of units.
