Forty-seven units attended the AGM Meet.
We held our own race meeting in the upstairs bar on Saturday morning
thanks to Rick Oates and the Grimsby Racing Stables.
The AGM was very well attended and resulted in some changes to the
committee, after which we were treated to Ron Bradford's magic show.

In
the evening we enjoyed an excellent hog roast followed by a Murder and
Mystery challenge entitled 'The St. Patrick's Day Murder'. The murder
had occured at the race track and all the suspects were present and
available for questioning. A highly inefficient police officer popped in
occasionally with clues.
Many members had 'dressed up for the races' and several fantastic hats
were on display. A hat parade was held and the most imaginative
creations were awarded prizes. Sue Smith took first prize with a hat
sporting a lifelike model Dandy on top. At the end of the evening
everyone did their best to decide 'who dunnit'. When at last the guilty
party was revealed he looked suspiciously like Peter Derry!
