We had another very successful rally organised by Charlie and Brenda at the Dorset Steam Rally.
It was the first time Frank and I had been to the Dorset Steam Rally , or for that matter any steam rally, and when we arrived we were very surprised by the thousands of Caravans, Tents and Campers etc., parked over many acres. We had a section roped off for Dandies which was fairly close to the entrance to the rally. Because of the size of the Rally you certainly needed more than a single visit to see all that was on offer.
Each time you went in there was something else to see that you had missed previously.

The Craft Fair was very extensive, as were the various exhibits of Traction engines, Farming Machinery, Classic Cars and Motorcycles etc. Most of the Steam Machinery and Traction Engines had been lovingly restored and were brightly lit at night. A number were being used to supply electricity to the fairground rides.
We had a great time, and thanks again to our rally co-ordinators.
