WAS IT WORTH IT?

We volunteered to be stewards at the Mold rally last summer and it was enjoyable.  Charlie provided us with a list of members so that we could book them in on their arrival, 31 in total.  It was a nice way to introduce ourselves to people that previously we had only known as faces.  Obviously we talked to members about Dandys and exchanged useful tips.  Pets also came into conversations and we now know how to look after a pet rat.

As mentioned earlier, 31 members were on Charlie’s list and we booked them all in.  Going to bed in the evening we felt quite pleased that the list was complete. 

However a noise woke us up, and low and behold, we saw the rear lights of a car passing our Dandy.  Then ‘PANIC’ we saw the lights of a trailer behind the car.  We thought at first that we had made a mistake with the booking-in list, but with great relief we found out that a member had arrived without previously booking. 

Yes, for us it was worth it.  It doesn’t take too much effort to be stewards for a meeting and we are sure that if you have a go you will enjoy the experience.
