In these early days of the club every entry in the diary is history in the making. This was the first rally organised by the club itself, or rather by Charlie Needham our rally co-ordinator. He and Brenda his wife certainly did us proud.

The park itself is certainly worth a visit having an abundance of wildlife and specialising in a heronry with an observation hide. Also nearby there is a choice of Coventry, Warwick and Rugby to explore, plus an entertainments Centre with restaurants, bowling alley and multi cinema within easy driving distance.

On Saturday evening we had a bonfire and a barbeque. There was a slight problem as the bonfire and the barbeque area are separated by an acre or so of land and the site rules prevented barbeque in the bonfire area and vice versa. This gave the cooks a problem. Barbequing food for 60 people is difficult enough but they had the added problem of having to ferry the food across in batches.
However nobody minded the wait. It was a beautiful evening and everyone sat happily chatting around the bonfire whilst Dave serenaded us on his melodeon. When the food did arrive it was delicious and plenty of it! Added to which Julian organised a raffle which raised twenty five pounds for the club funds. So a wonderful evening was had by all.
On Sunday the kids had a further treat, "Looby Lou's Treasure Hunt" while the adults relaxed.

The Sunday flag meet turned into a mammoth photography session with everyone who posessed a camera wanting one for the album. Everone agreed it had been a wonderful meet.

Thanks again Charlie and Brenda.
