The Dandy Owners Club
For owners of dandy and Riva folding campers

The Dandy Owners Club was set up in May 1995 for
owners of Dandy Folding Campers. At the first meeting held at Sutterton
Caravan and Camping Centre 60 units were present and many of these are
still members of the club.
The club has an active membership, rallying regularly, with new members
joining on a regular basis. Rallies are held at various locations on
recognised camping and caravan sites across Great Britain throughout the
Spring to Autumn By splitting the country into seven regions, a rally is
held in each one spreading the locations as fairly as possible. Numbers
of units attending these rallies are frequently above 20 - 30 for a
weekend rally with members ranging in age from under 12 months to over
75 years.
2005 saw the Club celebrating its 10th
Anniversary with a very well attended Summer rally inviting all past
members to join the rally, and use the facilities on the same site
renewing friendships and making new ones.
2008 saw the Club holding its 100th Rally at the
Annual General Meeting in May and all members enjoying a Hog Roast
provided by the Club.
2010 was the Clubs fifteenth Birthday with special
regalia, keyrings, coasters, etc produced for the event.
In 2011 a Rally was held in Northern France for
almost two weeks,
The club, through its members, has a wealth of
experience of camping across Eastern and Western Europe, the problems of
taking a unit to the Isles of Scilly as well as full technical knowledge
of most the units still in use today
Whilst the club is set up to provide support for members it also helps,
where possible, other owners of Dandy Campers or potential new owners
who want first hand experience of these units.
The Club produces its own quarterly magazine, free to members, which is
full of information, technical articles, rally reports and much
more.
All owners of a Dandy, or the later Riva/Dandy are welcome to join the
Club, ownership of one of these units being the only criteria. There is
also an Associate membership for those who have sold their Dandy, and
wish to keep in touch with the activities and friends made in the Club.
